Where We Have Been
Cedar Creek Church began with the vision to provide a non-traditional Baptist church, creating an opportunity to reach people who are not a part of existing local congregations, and who would probably not be attracted to a traditional church setting.

Cedar Creek Church held its first worship service on April 4, 1993. In June 1996 we became an autonomous church with our constitution and by-laws, incorporated by the state of South Carolina.

The church purchased 16 acres at the intersection of Banks Mill Road and Old Dibble Road and occupied phase one of its new facilities in May of 1998.

Our goal is to offer a vibrant, positive, life-changing faith to people who are presently not active in a local church. Our desire is to have a church that is Christ-centered, simple in structure, and committed to meeting the needs of people in our community who are willing to give church another try (or a first try!).

Purpose
We have coined the word "CELLebration" to express the two distinctives of Cedar Creek Church: Celebrative Worship and the use of cell (small) groups as the basic Christian community and the basic building block of the church.

Cedar Creek Church exists to REACH nonbelievers, to CONNECT them with other Christians, to help them GROW in their faith, and to challenge the growing to DISCOVER their ministry and HONOR God with their life.
