Tim Fitzgerald – Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Tim serves Cedar Creek Church as Director of the Care & Counseling Department. The department comprises specialty or niche ministries involving phase of life or loss related issues.
Tim holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is licensed by the state of South Carolina as a professional counselor (LPC). He was ordained by Cedar Creek Church and subscribes to a style of counseling best described as integrated pastoral counseling, drawing from Biblical and psychological concepts in therapy.
Tim’s specialty is helping individuals who find themselves separated or divorced and struggling to adapt. His practice focuses heavily on interpersonal skills. He also is adept at helping clients develop healthy boundaries, relieve anxiety and/or depression, and working through codependency. Advanced mental illness is outside the scope of Tim’s practice.
Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Tim obtained his undergraduate degree from Furman University. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army on graduation day and served a lengthy career as a logistician. The grandson of two pastors, the son of a church music minister, Tim now carries on the family tradition of serving God as a vocation.
