Pray for Haiti Initiative
Heartbreaking News from Haiti
On the evening of Thursday, May 30th, while leaving a local youth group service in Port au Prince, a young missionary couple, Davy and Natalie Lloyd, and their coworker, Jude Montis, were ambushed by gang members. This beautiful young couple in their twenties and their co-worker, all of whom wanted nothing more than to declare the love of Jesus, were kidnapped, beaten and later shot to death.
We are sharing the following on behalf of our Brother in Christ, Bill Howard, of Disciples Village.
By all visible accounts – it seems as though the power of evil is having the victory in Haiti. Yet I believe, and I know you do as well, that there are powers at work that we do not see. Those powers belong to our Savior Jesus, and they are available to those who call upon His name.
1 John 5:14&15 – This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
I believe that it’s God’s will – for Haiti to be healed of this evil. I believe it’s God’s will for children to go bed without being terrorized by gunshots. I believe it’s God’s will for the people of Haiti to live their lives with adequate food, water and medical care. I believe it’s God’s will that the hatred, violence and heartache in Haiti would stop and that order and peace would be restored.
I know you believe this as well. Therefore, I’m asking you and your church family to please join us in our Pray for Haiti initiative.
During the month of June, we are recruiting thousands of people to pray for the restoration of Haiti.

This emphasis has nothing to do with fundraising. Bill and his team are only seeking prayer warriors who will join us in going before the Lord – asking Him for a miracle in Haiti.
