Transitions is an extraordinary group of people helping each other adjust to life single again.
What does single again mean? It may mean you are divorced or well on your way. It may mean death has taken your spouse. It may mean you have lost a long-term, committed companion in a similar way. And now you are single. Again. The common element among us is the change from having been part of a relationship to being on our own Transitions recognizes that being alone – single again, if you will, takes some adjustment beyond merely accepting the loss. We come together and help stabilize the wobbly legs of walking on your own.
Transitions is not an intensive care program for the crisis of losing a mate (that is the purpose for Divorce Care and Grief Share.) Transitions is led by a licensed counselor and is a different experience than other programs.
Ours is a group that talks, thinks, laughs, and helps each other grow strong and confident on our new status. Since we’ve all been through the loss – many of us fairly recently – we are very up to date on what it is like. Oh – and we have a group dinner every third week – so we grow comfortable together in social settings, single again!

Our program covers five big questions:
- Where am I?
- Where do I want to be?
- Who am I?
- Who do I want to become?
- How do relationships with friends help prevent future mistakes in romance?
We are not a group for those seeking to meet singles for dating. Our watchword is Find Your New Self Here, Find Your Next Romance Elsewhere.
