Christmas at Cedar Creek

Hope is not wishful thinking, blind optimism or ambitious dreams.

“…In his great mercy he (God) has GIVEN US new birth into a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is KEPT in heaven for you.” 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NIV)

Living in Hope Means…

…I’m not defined by my past.

“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:21-23 (NLT)

“Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

…I’m not controlled by my fear and anxiety.

…My future is secure.
