Kidz Creek Newsletter – April

Spring is such a beautiful reminder that growth is happening even when we can’t always see it. Just like flowers begin to bloom and everything feels new again, this season invites us to celebrate the new life and hope we have through Easter.

Easter is at the heart of everything we believe, and it’s such a special time for families. It’s a reminder that Jesus brings hope, joy, and new beginnings into our lives—and that’s something worth sharing!

This month in Kidz Creek, we’re focusing on joy that comes from Jesus—a joy that doesn’t come and go, but lasts no matter what.

  • Elementary kids will be learning that because Jesus is alive, we can have real joy, be part of God’s bigger story, know that He is always with us, and experience the joy His Spirit gives us every day.
  • Preschool kids will be learning in simple and meaningful ways that Jesus is alive and wants to be their friend forever, giving them joy they can feel and share.

This month is also the perfect opportunity to invite others to experience that hope with you. Friends, neighbors, classmates, teammates, and family members are often more open to coming to church at Easter than any other time of the year. And one of the most powerful invitations can come from your child. Encourage them to think about who they could invite—it could be as simple as saying, “Will you come sit with me at church?”

We can’t wait to celebrate Easter with your family and the people God places in your path. It’s going to be a joyful, meaningful time together!

Kidz Creek wants to partner with you by giving your family an opportunity to make a difference for Jesus—together!

We’re teaming up with The Salvation Army of Aiken to serve our community through yard work, cleaning, organizing, and painting. This is a hands-on way for your family to show God’s love while helping your kids grow a heart for serving others.

Families with kids of all ages are welcome, with opportunities for kids to jump in and take breaks as needed. Sign up HERE!

Want to help even more?
We’re collecting donations to help cover plants, mulch, and supplies. Look for our “Planting Seeds of Kindness” containers at Kidz Creek Check-In from March 15 – April 12. Let’s serve together and make a difference for Jesus!

We are the first generation raising digital natives—and that can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re hosting Night Out: Screen Sanity, a practical and encouraging evening designed to help families think intentionally about technology.

And yes… we encourage even parents of babies to attend. It’s never too early to shape your family’s relationship with screens. The habits we build now matter later.

Parents will enjoy dinner and meaningful roundtable conversations with others in similar life stages, focusing on raising healthy, happy kids in a digital world.

Cost:

$10 per adult
$5 per child or individual with a disability

Important Parent Note: Parents are required to register for the event and remain on-site during Night Out. This is a shared family experience, and we want parents fully present and part of the evening.

What Kids & Students Can Expect
