Ultimate Justice
Ultimate Justice
Resilient – Part 4
Realities of God’s Ultimate Justice
- We cause much of the chaos.
“…I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest…Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth…I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand…I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him…” Revelation 6:2-8 (NIV)
- God is patient and His timing is perfect.
“How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood? Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer…” Revelation 6:10-11 (NIV)
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)
- God protects and preserves His people.
“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” Revelation 7:3 (NIV)
- We will experience God’s ultimate comfort.
“Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:16-17 (NIV)
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)
