Pastor Mike McKee and his wife, Ashley, have been married for 12 years and have three children: Adalyn (8), Braxton (6), and Cole (4). Their family loves fitness, sports, and the outdoors, where they spend much of their time. Mike enjoys being with his family, coaching his kids, hunting, and fishing.

Mike attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played baseball and earned a B.A. in Communication. His time at UNC was foundational in his call to full-time Christian ministry. He also holds a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mike currently serves as the founding pastor of Image Church in Marietta, Georgia, where he has been the lead pastor for the past nine years. Image Church is a multiethnic, multigenerational church passionate about reaching the next generation.

Prior to founding Image Church, Mike served on staff at The Summit Church in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. He joined the Summit staff in 2012 and helped launch the Chapel Hill Campus, one of the church’s 12 locations. Mike oversaw First Impressions, Local Outreach, Groups, and Membership for a campus that launched with 1,200 people.

Mike’s ministry experience has allowed him to build a strong network of ministry partners across the Southeast. He has also had the privilege of being mentored by a group of legacy leaders who have shaped the Christian movement in this generation.

Pastor Mike has a deep passion for gospel clarity and authentic community. His heart is to help people encounter Jesus, grow in spiritual maturity, and live as faithful disciples where God has placed them.

As a visionary leader, Mike casts a clear and compelling, gospel-shaped direction for the church. He believes deeply in the local church as God’s plan for reaching those far from Him. Mike is a shepherd-leader who equips the church for the mission of making disciples through faithful, gospel-centered, biblical teaching. He teaches with conviction and theological integrity, connecting with longtime believers as well as those exploring faith for the first time.

Mike has a heart for embracing the Great Commission by engaging both the local community and the nations with the hope of the gospel. He is also passionate about developing and deploying leaders both in the church and the community through apprenticeships and intentional development. He believes that every member is a missionary in the context where God has them; at work, in their neighborhood, and in their home. However, God’s not called them to this alone, they carry the power of the Holy Spirit and walk within the community of the church
