Wow, what an incredible journey we’ve been on. For 44 days, we’ve walked through the pages of Revelation, a book that promises a blessing to all who read it.
We began with Jesus’ personal messages to the churches, a call to faithfulness that still rings true today. Then, we moved into the heavenly throne room, where we saw the Lamb, the only one worthy to open the scroll and unleash God’s justice. We’ve witnessed a war for souls, with trumpets, bowls, and powerful signs—and in the midst of it all, we’ve seen God’s steadfast protection of his people.
And now, we’ve reached a beautiful conclusion. After all the turmoil, all the conflict, and all the judgment, we’ve finally arrived at the stunning scene of a new heaven and a new earth.
Yesterday’s passage, Revelation 21:1-8, is like a deep, cleansing breath after a long, intense sprint. It’s the final destination, the ultimate promise. We’ve seen the chaos of the world as it is, and now we get to witness the glorious reality of the world as it will be.
We’ve read about a new Eden where all things are made new and where God himself dwells with his people, wiping away every tear. It’s a vision that should move us deeply, not just in our minds, but in our hearts. This is what we’ve been fighting for. This is what we have been clinging to.
We’ve explored the depths of God’s holiness and the seriousness of sin, and we’ve celebrated the victorious power of the Lion-Lamb. We’ve been reminded that our hope isn’t in a broken world but in a resurrected King who is making all things new.
So, as we stand on the cusp of the end of this journey through Revelation, let’s pause and really let all this truth settle in. What has God revealed to you? What convictions has He placed on your heart? How has He deepened your hope in him?
Take a moment to reflect on all that has been encountered and how it has changed you. The final chapters of Revelation aren’t just a glimpse of the future; they’re a powerful reminder that our story—your story and my story—is part of a much larger, victorious narrative. It’s time to live like it.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that you would help me live in light of the truth you have revealed over the past several weeks. Give me the courage to live a life that reflects my love for you, and give me the boldness to share the hope of the gospel with others. Amen.
