How do I pack my shoebox?

Select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, school supplies, and personal care items. Don't forget to also include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive!

Most importantly, "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift.

Please also pray for:

Their family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift.
Their community to be transformed by the Gospel.
A donation of $10 per box is critical to cover evangelism materials, shipping, and other project costs. For easiest processing, you can give online through our Label Options or Ways to Give pages, or by mailing a check in the postage-paid envelope available in our printed brochure. If you use an online option on the Labels page, you can Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your gift.

Bring your shoebox gift back to church by Sunday, Nov. 16th!

Personal Stories from Cedar Creek Church

Alan Hunt delivered Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gifts to an island on Lake Victoria in Uganda. While there, they were able to bless children on the island, but unfortunately, they didn't have enough boxes for children outside of the gates. God provided in an amazing way.

Alex's Story

On Sunday, October 26th we had the opportunity to hear from Alex Nsengimana, a guest speaker from Samaritan’s Purse who received an Operation Christmas Child Shoebox as a child.

Growing up in Rwanda, Alex Nsengimana experienced firsthand the tragedies of his nation’s genocide. At the height of tribal unrest, the genocide claimed the lives of his caregivers. Fleeing for his life, Alex escaped gunmen and eventually ended up in an orphanage. He received a shoebox from Operation Christmas Child a year later and remembers being so excited to have a gift to call his own. The shoebox gift sowed seeds of hope and love that he desperately needed. He realized that God had a specific plan for his life. Alex now serves with Operation Christmas Child, paying forward the hope and love he received through a shoebox gift.
