Luke 10:1-11
Serving as mission means…
…working with others.
“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them TWO BY TWO ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.”
“Two are BETTER than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”
…being dependent on God.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Luke 10:2 (NIV)
“Do not take a purse…”
…being willing to travel light.
“…Do not take…bag or sandals…”
“…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with PERSERVERENCE the race marked out for us.”
…staying focused.
“…and do not greet anyone on the road.”
…being intentionally relational.
“Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality…”
“…I try to find COMMON GROUND with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.”
